Who am I and why should you listen to what I write on this Blog?

I’m Marcel, born and raised in Austria, and I’ve been passionate about travel for many years. During my time at university in Austria, I quickly realized that I needed to go out and explore. It all started with internships in Germany and exchange semesters in Finland and Thailand. From that point on, it became clear that I wasn’t meant for a typical 9-to-5 corporate job after graduating.

Right after completing my Master’s degree in Health Management, I founded my own media and marketing agency, which allowed me to work fully remotely. In 2018, I left Austria as a resident and became a perpetual traveler, embracing the digital nomad lifestyle and working 100% online—a lifestyle I still follow today.

After years of exploring different countries and cultures, I decided to make Laos my home base for future travels. Being with a Lao partner has given me deep insights into the country and its unique culture—things most tourists would never get to experience. I love traveling in Laos and continuously learning more about this fascinating country.

That’s why I decided to share my knowledge through this blog—to help fellow explorers, expats, and digital nomads navigate and enjoy Laos to the fullest.
